I'm not sure that .2% overhead for SS bureaucracy is low compared to mutual funds....Who are they competing with to garner cash inflows?....They have a lock on 12.4% of the taxable payroll wages of the whole country without without moving an inch off their duffs....Let's get some choice into the system and see how long they last.

Actually... I believe the management overhead of the SS bureaucracy is extremely low, something like 0.2% or lower, if memory serves.<i/>

Most mutual funds wish they had such a low overhead<i/>
