The Left's denial of Bush's accomplishment in the Mideast serves only to marginalize their own roles in the future. Watching Capital Gang, you hear Carlson and Shields denying that our overthrowing Saddam has been the impetus for what may be a transformation underway in the Mideast. This is an utterly ignorant perspective and I think the American people (and for that matter, the Europeans) don't believe it. It may not happen. But at this point, it would appear that Bush's foreign policy could well result in not only mkaing the world a safer place, but bringing freedom to untold millions in the Mideast and put an end to the Palestinian crisis to boot. It is an exciting time to be watching this stuff. It reminds me a lot of Reagan defeating the Soviets; but it just feels bigger, somehow.
