IMO, it's because the Italian is a westerner and a female reporter and the Italian public is just looking for an excuse to protest against Bush. Coalition Smoalition.

If it turns out that it's just wild wild west shooting in Iraq (heck, we can't even keep track of $9 billion much less a few hundred thousand stray bullets), the US Military looks less like the 'good guys' in white hats.

Dang. Just when Bush, the divine, was spreading Christian Fascism throughout the middle east.

Bush simply takes credit for things that have nothing to do with him and ignores his failures. That's his lifelong pattern. Idiot George messes up decade after decade and Poppy comes and rescues him. Poppy, in return, gets threatened by George in private and dissed by him repeatedly in public as a weakling.

Note that George gives credit and thanks to his mother but not to Poppy.
