It reminds me of a movie I saw once, I can't remember the name of, where there was a pertinent detail of information that was due to be disclosed, so the opposing legal council sent it along with like a whole house full of legal documents, so that if they were in fact to find it, it would take many many man hours to wade through all the garbage they sent with it. That is the nature of information overload. I feel that is exactly what we are faced with today. Information that is valuable to us may be just as obscure because how do we differentiate what is important and what is not important to us?

Because we live in a capitalist society, everything is based on the sale. There is no inherent interest to inform, IMO. It's just words to fill the space, underneath a title that might promise to inform, but I wonder how many people feel informed when they are done with the article Most articles I read are written from a certain political perspective. They cater to one side or the other.

The one thing you hear precious little about is how to re-assert political control.
