As to what I would call a quantum ergonomic improvement in extracting good information from SI, I would propose the following. It's not trivial, but should be doable by reusing existing pieces.

It would be nice if a persons posts could be presented in a first, next, previous, last frame. I use people marks and it would be nice to be just able to read a persons posts. I would present the posts in thread format, but would have additional navigation that would allow to advance to the next or prev post of that person.

Now I goto profile, open message in tab... open message in tab.. with some close tabs......
