In you own life, if you see something absolutely wrong, but it is not harming you directly, surely you make some effort to correct it, don't you?

"Europeans do, US citizens mind their own business."

At least that used to be the perception and for sure is the attitude of most of my US friends. On a small scale that is, in daily life.

I agree its wrong. When I see somebody stealing - or worse - in a big way I still believe its my duty to do my best to stop it by at least reporting it.

We are not talking about citizens in the same country. We are talking about two different countries. If the Danes were to arrest and execute a fellow Dane, and Sweden decided to intercede, what do you think Denmark's reaction would be? The world's? There is an important issue of national sovereignty at play here.

I knew you guys have trouble with democracy but I didn't know it extended to sovereignty as well.
