So we should slash the defense budget but at the same time we are short changing our soldiers on pay and critical equipment. I suppose they will all get a lot more money and equipment if we cut the defense budget it half... Actually, I was hoping that one of the last real conservatives would go in and see exactly where the defense pork is. We allocate $450 billion dollars a year which forces soldiers have to buy their own meals but the military can spend thousands on toilet seats and coffee machines. For some of us who are still fiscal conservatives, that's positively unconscionable.......horrific even. Get rid of the defense pork and I bet we could cut the defense budget by nearly a half and still pay for the soldiers' meals. ted
