I think that Bush ignored the terrorist attacks on Clinton's watch, the personal message from Clinton that Al Qaeda would be his biggest problem, the urgings of Richard Clarke.

The writing was on the wall. Only a melgomaniac could miss the obvious signs of danger.

Clinton's failures where the canary in the coal mine. Bush failures were much more severe. And his policies since have driven the country in the wrong direction.

There's no excuse for that.
