Yesterday I did something different, I did some daytime observation. It was one of those days where if you looked up during the day you could see the blackness of space (no moisture), kind of what the sky looks like when you look UP out of a jet at 41K feet.

I started out with the last quarter moon. Then I observed Venus, Mercury and Sirius, easily seen once I had established perfect alignment.

Then last evening I observed:
Sirius
Betelguese
Pleiades
M41
M 42 (Orion Nebula)
Saturn

Then it got too windy, didn't get to Jupiter, which was just rising.
