Middle East Retailer Selects Warehouse Management Solution for Major New Regional Distribution Centre

Alshaya Co., one of the Middle East's most successful retailers, has selected Manhattan Associates' Warehouse Management solution to run its new regional distribution centre (RDC), currently under construction, in Dubai.

Founded in 1890, M.H. Alshaya Co. employs more than 5,000 people across the Middle East. Alshaya made the decision to build the new RDC to support future expansion and enhance current Middle East operations. Manhattan Associates' Warehouse Management solution, which will operate on Microsoft's Windows application server and SQL database server, will allow M.H. Alshaya Co. to track goods as they arrive from all over the world and monitor their progress as they are dispatched to their respective destinations. Once the RDC is fully operational Alshaya intends to enhance its operations still further by rolling the solution out to all of its warehouses.
