I don't think it's "ALWAYS" wrong, but the bar has to be awfully high, otherwise you could find a good reason to invade about 1/2 of those 191 countries. Remember Iraq would never have sold on a humanitarian basis; it was sold on self defense.

And do we use a body like the UN or NATO to justify our interventions? If you set the bar high, it's a damn good idea, because you are including other perspectives in your deliberations.

I'm not arguing with Ted, I'm disagreeing with you and your seeming willingness to involve US troops anywhere anytime. The US is just one citizen of the world; it's not our mission or responsibility to remake it in our image. At least I never saw that in the constitution.
