60 new messages since I last visited this thread. And sure enough, whenever I sell the stocks moves up. I had PCTH for a year and a half, only traded out once, than got back in. But annoyed that Kennedy Cabot never sent me the certificates I requested (so I could send them on to cheaper Datek, or better, put them in a frame on the wall to keep me from trading in the stock) I said "oh hell, sell it and mail me the check". Dumb. also sold Sybase the other day and it's up two bucks since I did that too. Dumb. Happy trading to all you new PCTH owners...I was in at 2 5/8 out at 3 5/8...in at 3 and out at 4...but if I'd just bought a lot more shares instead of trading in and out I'd be a lot happier as this thing goes to $5. Sigh.

This is a good example of letting one's emotions get in the way of trading--I could have left PCTH in my KC account forever--no trades. I would still have felt that I got even with them for not carrying out my instructions--they would be getting no commissions. But instead I get annoyed, sell, and they get a commission before I close the account--plus I pay tax on the gain. Dumb. (fortunatly all this is academic since I did not have many shares to begin with, but it would be nice to do things the right way).
