Given human nature and economic conditions, I think the allies played it exactly right. The only way to have stopped what came done was to intercede when the Bundestag made Hitler chancellor of the Reich. And no one, absolutely no one but you hindsight jockeys, could have predicted what a monster Hitler would become. I don't disagree too much, really. Only back then it was the "Reichstag"... "Bundestag" is post war only. Sorry. I thought always the building was called the Reichstag and the actual parliament, Bundestag. Have you seen the new addition to the Reichstag? Its a very cool building. My friends send me pics on line. I want to see Berlin now that its become the capital. ted
