There was a piece written somewhere (maybe NYT op-ed) after Powell resigned stating that if Bolton were appointed Secretary of State, it would symbolize a really bad shift even further right in the administration... well, this might be worse -- Bolton is like the archenemy of the UN. I don't like the UN at all, but I feel that it's so important that we figure out how to work with them rather than alienating them further. Bolton talks about pulling out of the UN. Great. -Z
