Theres two ways to go with bio fuel,

1. convert the base stock with methoxide to create bio diesel with little or no conversion to the equipment (the one you hear about in the media)

2. Or convert the equipment to run straight on the base stock.

Both are viable, but to produce biodiesel costs to produce are currently about .50 a gallon with retail cost about 2.50 or a bit higher for ASTM certified fuel after taxes.

Where as converting the equipment has a one time charge but the fuel is free if you get it yourself or .10 to .20 a gallon if you buy it pre filtered.

There are probably over two dozen companies involved with conversions.

Anyway I'm involved more in the conversion end of it but I also brew bio diesel.
