John, I admire you're intelligent, informed posts. Some of the very best on SI, I'd say. Since the market will use Black-Scholes (plus spread for profit) to set the price, we cut out the middle man and the middle man's profits if we just require the company to report their profits AS IF they had spent the cash. Good idea maybe. But it appears to me to invite abuse by companies. in-the-money.com There are terms in that equation which are guesswoek at best and allow management a great deal of wiggle room.
