I do agree that President's take the blame for far more than they have in their power to influence, but also take their share of undeserved credit. Like Bush's campaign boast that more people owned their own homes during each of his four years - conveniently leaving out the fact that that was true for each of the preceding 30 years or more... The true test of the left's dislike of Bush will come after he is gone. Will they keep blaming Bush for everything after his term is over, just as many on the right still blame everything on Clinton? Probably; Bush is nothing if not a lightning rod for opinion.
