I listen to it when I'm in the mood. The performance and quality is more developed than other forms. Its usually about relationships breaking up or being macho, which gets old after a few songs. I liked the progressive country of the early seventies. Did you ever listen to The New Riders of the Purple Sage, I also liked The Charley Daniels band, and a few others. I even liked Jerry Jeff Walker who did trucker type songs.
