OpenTV and Comcast Spotlight Sign Multi-Year Agreement

- OpenTV's AdVision Advanced Traffic and Billing Solution Manages Multiple Local Advertising Functions

SAN FRANCISCO and NEW YORK, March 9 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- OpenTV Corp. (Nasdaq: OPTV - News), one of the world's leading interactive television companies, and Comcast Spotlight, the advertising sales division of Comcast Cable, signed a multi-year licensing agreement to extend the deployment of OpenTV AdVision, OpenTV's advertising and sales traffic and billing system. OpenTV AdVision is currently deployed in Comcast Spotlight's Dallas, Boston, Hartford, Providence and Springfield markets. The agreement was announced by Tim Evard, OpenTV's senior vice president & general manager marketing and applications products and Paul Woidke, Comcast Spotlight's vice president of technology.

OpenTV AdVision performs continuous monitoring of local system's available advertising inventory, facilitates traffic, scheduling and billing functions around the systems' advertising insertion, and provides maximum efficiency of spot placement and optimizing revenue management. An enhanced version of OpenTV AdVision will be introduced to improve core traffic and billing functions, inventory and yield management, and media sales management.
