So it is our right to invade and overthrow the government of any country that we deem isn't acting in the best interest of it's people? Is it other countries right to invade and overthrow the government of the US if they deem that our government isn't acting in the best interests of the US citizens? In your opinion, is sovereignty a dead concept; is the US now in charge of the world?

I wouldn't use the term "right", since it implies some law that both parties have previously agreed upon.

Other than that, I sort of agree with your understanding of my views, but wouldn't express them with the casualness that pervades the above paragraph. No country should willy nilly attack and old government that is worsening the lives of its citizens. Of course not! Sovereignity is not dead. I am not a FAN of starting a war, but I believe there exist theoretical situations where it is justified, and its result beneficial.

For governments that FOR DECADES worsen the lives of their country's population and show zero possibility for reform, yeah, they should be forcibly removed. Such governments are bad for their people, bad for planet, and a shame on humanity.

Just because these governments happen to be in a different country doesn't mean its OK for a small powerful elite to rape, kill and starve their fellow man. You wouldn't allow it in Texas, why is it OK in Zimbabwe?

Also, I believe that spreading American values (defined as what's in the Constitution, Declaration of Independence and Bill of Rights) around the world is good for the world. It's hard to deny people should have some degree of free speech, some degree of equal rights, and some degree of representative government, because the opposites (thought censorship, slavery, and dictatorship) are, in my never so humble opinion, bad for the world.

As far as other countries invading America because they think American leadership is worsening the lives of Americans, it would be hard to argue this is happening since the leadership gets chosen every year by the people. The winner must be doing something Americans like.

Unless you're one of those conspiracy election theorists.....
