In my life work in the field of mental health.... I have seen more instances where someone who makes a statement such as Mr. Hale that when he saw a black kissing a white he became a racist... It is because they fear in themselves that which they detest about someone else. Hate often evolves from fear and the fear is not conscious but one that is involved in the psychic of that person.

Example. There was a woman with whom I worked who hated gays.She used to try to identify those in the office who she thought might be.................She was married with children. If she thought someone was she launched a hate campaign.

Years later I found out this woman had come out gay and was with another woman. This is just one example of many .Comes from having lived too long...

Anyway this is why I look twice at someone filled with hate. Why is it necessary anyway. A person content with himself and happy in life does not have to seek out others to hate.
