The New York Times March 8, 2005, 10:05 PM PST "Electronic Arts plans to begin to paying overtime to some workers. Those workers would no longer be eligible for options or bonuses." news.com.com Electronic Arts attempts to turn Silicon Valley into an hourly-paid Detroit, as a way to avoid a lawsuit. The way to avoid this negativity from spreading is to ensure executive compensation committees refrain from creating compensation packages that are out-of-step with the times. The excuse for being out-of-step, "it was comparable to compensation for similar" will backfire. Regards, Amy J
