re: Why do you use the 1,500 number (US casualties) when the number of Iraqis killed as a result of Saddam's regime is orders of magnitude higher? Don't the hundreds of thousands (if not millions) of Iraqis killed as a result of Saddam's leadership of Iraq matter to you?

I didn't use the 1500 number, the author did. And I've bemoaned the 100K+ dead Iraqi civilians many, many times.

As to the Iraqi's killed by the SH regime, the bulk of those were long ago. And they were not killed in my name, by my country.

If your suggestion is that we are responsible for all foreign death by despot where we don't intervene, we have a lot of blood on our hands.

I don't know how we've so quickly degenerated to the point where a seemingly intelligent person like you can proclaim us the police of the world, with the moral authority to overthrow any government that we deem oppressive. We shouldn't, and we can't.

Your thinking is way, way out of the mainstream.
