Probably not. But at least with the re enlistments, the values are already set in the individual. Over time it will probably have a corrosive affect though.
The American people are not truly serious about this war. It will take a WMD to do so IMnHO. The thing is, we can do a heck of a lot of damage with bombers and that will probably be the method of choice going forward. We won't seize ground, we'll simply blast a place apart and let the locals put it back together as best they can. That will keep them occupied for a while.
