You may be right. I know from all the news I read, hybrids are very very popular. I am about to buy a new car and guess what I'm buying? You guessed it, a Prius. My only complaint is that I wish Toyota would flood the market with this cars to bring the price down. This waiting in line and having to pay a premium crap is for the birds. Right now, it is relegated to car drivers who can afford a little more. If they'd price it closer to $15K, which is really what that size car should be priced at, then the masses would buy it. They could make up in volume what they lose in the high margin they get now. You're right. From what I've read, they never expected it to be so popular. They are also gearing up to produce more asap. BTW you are aware that you can get a tax break for owning one. ted
