There is nothing to fight. Especially if it is credit card debt.

You just don't keep any assets that are capable of being seized and wait for the judgment to eventually expire uncollected.

The downside is you can't have things like brokerage accounts and second homes and boats, but these are people with no money we are talking about so it's not that difficult a transition.

I know a guy who has owed a hospital $70,000 for six years now, does cause him any tribulations at all.
