Yep. $2K, but that's pitiful. If I were Bush, I would have made tax breaks on alternative fuel vehicles a big priority, as part of an overall consumption reduction plan.

Yes, it is pitiful. I did the math....and it does not make up for the lack of price competitiveness of the Prius. After reading the benies for the SUVs, you've got to wonder why they are so niggardly when it comes to the hybrids. You would think the purchase of hybrids are in the best interest of the country and not SUVs. You would think...........

But Bush has neither an overall plan, nor an alternative fuel plan that worth any salt.

This is what kills me. I posted on the thread recently that Bush has proposed a piece of environmental legislation that they say is better than Kyoto and much less expensive. It has to do with reducing methane gas emissions. It is a sham. There is no question that methane gas is part of the problem but its the smaller part and will have the lesser impact.

However, now they can turn around and show that they are environmentally friendly. Its Karl Rovism at its finest.
