If that means one has to repeat the whole of human history then I'll have to pass. It is well known that economic forces were a major part of the causes of WWII. Pearl Harbor is usually considered to have been an enormous mistake on Japan's side, the US oil boycott not with standing. In addition Hitler gave the US the opportunity to enter the European theater by declaring war on the US some days after Dec. 7th.
