I disagree. They led us to believe they were fighting it then. Unfortunately, I'm very busy this week and don't have much searching time available. In fact, I'll be off this machine shortly.

If you examine some of the links in the below thread headers, you'll note how the Bush Administration made the correlation that waging the war in Iraq was waging the war on terrorism. Bush, et. al., even implied that the small group of Al Qaeda that was camped out in the northeastern part of the Iraq--deep within the US-controlled No-Fly Zone, had something to do with Saddam. They also claimed that an Al Qaeda individual who sought medical treatment in Baghdad was proof that Saddam was in league with Al Qaeda. Also, claims were made that Al Qaeda had a training camp outside of Baghdad.

Tonto, there were several instances where the Bush Adminstration attempted to prove there was such a link. I'm surprised you don't know this, Tonto--it was pretty clear.
