I'm glad, because being in metals and energy today was indeed pathetic. I have to keep reminding myself how bull markets proceed -- 5 little steps up, and then 4 steps back but all in ONE BIG step. Slow and steady gains but quick and sharp drops. If we have the bull pegged correctly, then it might be better to look twice a year rather than daily. The same momentum jumpers that bail at the slightest dip are the same ones who buy more as they take off again. Hopefully we pick up a few more who put a portion each time in a long-term portfolio so the amount of shares available to the quick jumpers and quick buyers is less and less. That way, as the bull matures, we get the opposite effect of having HUGE up days and then a few dribbles down, and then more and more HUGE up days until we have a frenzy that lasts for several months where we can begin to slowly sell our 50-100 baggers to Mr. and Mrs. Joe "clueless" America on the buying advice of the CNBC ANALysts.

I remain,

SOROS
