To All, re slot machine placement and the loud clatter of coins dropping to entice others to play: Slot machines in many to most of the larger casinos now give paper tickets instead of coins, reflecting the amount of the jackpot; hence, no coins are dropped to signal to others that a jackpot has been won. These tickets can be converted into cash at the cashier's cage or put into other machines for additional play. - Holly
