System During PCS '97 Show
SUNNYVALE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 4, 1997--Spectrian Corp. (NASDAQ:SPCT), the leading independent
manufacturer of ultra-linear, high-power RF amplification systems, will demonstrate its new MC800-18 100-watt PCS
multicarrier power amplifier (MCPA) system.
Targeted applications include Global Standard for Mobile communications (GSM) and Code Division Multiple Access
(CDMA) networks within the 1800 MHz bandwidth. The system is modular and can be configured as 25, 50, 75 or 100
watts. It will be demonstrated at the PCS '97 trade show in Dallas, Sept. 10-12, 1997, booth 27027.

In contrast to single-channel power amplifiers (SCPA) utilized in early base-station designs, MCPA devices are capable of
carrying different modulation schemes simultaneously.
The MC800-18 MCPA system integrates a combiner, amplifier and filter into a single unit, thereby reducing space
requirements within the base station and minimizing maintenance costs in base-station designs.
Additionally, the new unit provides superior IMD suppression performance between channels over a broad dynamic range,
which allows system operators to increase subscriber density within a given frequency band.
