"It continues to amaze me how two people who graduated from the same college, apparently share the same likes can so disagree on what is the truth about politics."

I keep telling you why there is such a huge difference, but
you can't seem to grasp the concept.

You place most of your emphasis on versions of reality that
fit nicely into your world view. It must first & foremost
adhere to your political ideology before you accept it. You
place very little emphasis on the veracity of your sources of
information. You rarely check the veracity of information
that fits into your world view. This becomes your reality
from which you vehemently reject all other facts that
stand in stark contrast to your world view.

I take almost the exact opposite approach.

Reality based info that is credible & verifiable is my first
priority, regardless of how it fits or clashes with my
political POV. I learn to eschew sources of information that
have proven themselves to have credibility problems. This
goes for any disreputable source, even if they consistently
report favorably on things that support my world view. I take
the reality based information I gather & use it to form my
POV. I continue to gather reality based information as time &
events unfold. My POV continues to evolve with each new
revelation so my POV remains reality based.

IOW, I let the facts (the real ones) dictate my world view
even if reality does not fit nicely into my political POV.

And if you want an example how easily you are led astray,
this should enlighten you. You said,

"When I look at your bio and see the picture of you and your family camping out.... something I did all my life, living in tents, cooking fish"

You made an honest mistake Suma. But it does fit into what
I'm trying to convey to you.

Where in my profile (bio) does it say, 'This is my family'?
The only information you were given was "Interests and
Hobbies" where I placed pictures of people camping, fishing,
riding ATV's & enjoying the great outdoors.

You had a number of clues that I was not posting genuine
perrsonal pictures in my profile too.

Look at the pics next to "Company" & "Occupation/Title".

How about the pics next to "Age", "Location", "College"
& "Degree"? Do you see a pattern developing? Are those pics
personal photographs?

What about "Favorite Stocks" & "Investment Style"?

Am I not conveying a thematic message without the use of
personal photographs?

Yes there were several clues that I might be showing visual
representations of the various categories rather than actual
personal photos.

Yet, you chose to create your own reality based on
insufficient/misleading evidence. Rather than investigating
further (looking at the properties of the pictures or asking
me if this was indeed my family), you assumed your own
version of reality.
