Yes. Having papers with things written on them all over the place is excellent. However, a word of caustion--when you get to this life stage, it's probably better to stop buying gifts in advance and hiding them around the house. I am always finding lovely things I bought two years ago and planned to give away. Now I am enjoying them myself, because I cannot remember who they were for!
