the bigger question is why wasn't there more than one deputy on him.. He is huge guy, pictures of him walking down the steps of indoor garage where shown this morning on cnn. I expect even if male guy he could have taken him down. At least a second person would have had a chance to get a gun on him before he took the deputy's pistol... I heard he may have two guns , took another gun from another deputy he shot. Il. bans guns on deputies in court. Perhaps they should be looking at tasr guns. something that can stop a person but not kill them. I suspect the real reason this happen is BUDGET. someone didn't want to put more money out to cover the guy. Took the risk that nothing would happen.
