That is like saying all Intel did to succeed was ride the wave.

There may be a little bit of truth in that, but the way things go, if things go right on your watch, you get the credit - at least some of it.

He left with Bush holding the bag.

Did Clinton force Bush to give tax cuts to the rich?

Did Clinton force Bush to go to an elective war?

Did we budget for this war?

Do we know how much this war is costing us and how much more it will cost?

Did Europe and the rest of the world hate us when Clinton was President?

Talk about not taking responsibilities.

There is an old saying in horse racing:

A jockey can't make a horse run faster than the horse can run in order to win a race, but a lousy jockey can screw up and lose the race by being a poor jockey.

Pretty much the same thing with a President of the United States. He can't make the country much better than it can be, but he can screw up the country by being a poor President.
