Maybe you misunderstood the post.

You said:

"Are our current actions increasing or decreasing the chances we'll be attacked again? Increasing."

I said:

"Can you provide any evidence that this statement is correct?"

You then proceeded to post irrelevant data. There is no evidence to suggest that more Al Qaeda members (if there ARE more) translates to increased risk of an attack against the United States.

You claim their "funding is intact" but offer no proof that this is the case. You claim that the attack in Madrid somehow suggests that WE are at greater risk, when the clear inference is to the contrary.

And you totally ingnore the fact that our internal security measures have been beefed up substantially which certainly decreases the risk of an attack.

Can we be attacked again? Of course. Is it more or less likely?

If one looks at the facts (I realize, something you're not prone to do), the evidence is that an attack is much less likely.

- We have much tighter security than before 9/11;
- Al Qaeda's funding HAS been affected (but not totally cut off);
- Significant chunks of their leadership have been killed or captured;
- They are under considerable pressure to operate covertly, whereas before there was no such pressure;
- Their ability to train their membership is heavily compromised;
- There has been no successful attack against the United States since 9/11/01 -- 3.5 years and counting.

There MAY be more members; but they are not able to organize, train, and manage the membership as they were before.

I recognize the information is sketchy on this subject. But you really didn't present anything of relevance to the question at hand.
