We can't be threatened into doing the right thing - that's called coercion and is not a manifestation of free will. Persuasion with love as the persuader seems the way of God, that is, if He truly is the lover of our soul. Disciple is based upon the word discipline. One has to develop a structured way of thinking and critique their alignment to their principles. Disciple and Discipline are similar. A Disciple has discipline and focuses on the teacher. Most people aren't that spiritual and want a shrink-wrap religion that requires no more thought and introspection than a visit to the Burger King drive-through. Thought and introspection have been replaced by TV and Playstation and for some, the computer.
