I think our country stands on much firmer grounder than to allow a George W. Bush to change its course. There is no chance that George W. Bush will meaningfully alter the course and direction of western civilization. The best that he can do is to slow things down a bit. But, of course, for a person of Bush's caliber to even be able to do that, that is an enormous achievement on his part. That is just happenstance.

Again, I hope you are reading it correctly. What concerns me most is the strong split in the electorate. And I am beginning to think its the same schism [with significant updates] that caused the civil war. It can be a good thing.......it prompts the need for constant dialogue and the airing of ideas. And it can be a bad thing........pulling us so far apart we begin to fight each other.
