I can remember my first Christmas with Mr. Grainne, before we got married. We took a whole lot of LSD, had a very fun bath together, dried each other off with soft new towels and rubbed strawberry lotion all over each other. Then we called all our relatives and giggled endlessly at them. Mr. Grainne was very excited because I had bought him a very large and expensive present. He was hoping it was a tv (something I don't like very much and didn't have at the time). Imagine his disappointment when it turned out to be a painting instead! That was very hard for him to assimilate, being so high and everything. We had many, many profound thoughts but none of them turned either of us into a philosopher or scientist, and the drug itself may be a tiny part of why it is hard for me to understand complex concepts now.
