Well, I'd say you are overstating things a bit. We have an $11.5 trillion economy. forecasts.org From www.bls.gov site, I found that the total U.S. nonfarm employement is approx 133M. Of that approx. 22M are gov't employees. Of that, approx. 2.5M are military. The U.S. military gets around $400B a year, a large portion of the U.S. $2.5 trillion budget, but a small fraction of the overall U.S. economy. So the evidence resoundingly contradicts your assertion that we have no private U.S. civilian economy left.
