Lizzie, re "until the very latest part of the 90s ... the 50s were by far the best decade for stocks" Take a look at this chart of the NYSE and NASDAQ from 1939 throught 2004 ... and you might change your mind. rkral.brinkster.net The chart is logarithmic ... meaning a straight line is a constant percentage line.
