Andrew, Re: QCOM and “I have taken profits, I have reinvested, I have taken a few small losses, but my overall investment still looks pretty rosy.”
No complaints here, also. Doing a little reminiscing on a Sunday evening, my initial purchases were in the $37 to $40 range during 1996, before the 16 to 1 splits over the years. Yahoo calculates the monthly close prices, adjusted for splits and dividends and that comes in around $1.50 per share (not sure if they deducted the Leap spin-off). The new annual dividend of $0.36/ share on that $1.50 doesn’t look too bad either- yield of 24%.
