I'm assuming that a collapsing dollar would see the fed monitize it all of course... how else will they pay it back? They're gonna give all those foreigners US dollars!! Those people are BAGGED... they own all this debt that is going to lose a good part of it's value if they don't 'sell first' before the crowd. IN ANY CASE: A collapse of the $US implies a collapse in value on a global basis of our {grandkids} debt... simple.

Well, from a ridiculously inflated high!!! And besides, if it doesn't collapse, we don't have to worry about the consequences.

Well, it hasn't collapsed yet, clearly rates have to go WAY up to make your loan worthless right?
