Photographer for White House child sex ring arrested after Thompson suicide

WASHINGTON -- March 13, 2005 -- TomFlocco.com -- Photographer Russell E. "Rusty" Nelson was recently arrested two days after journalist Hunter Thompson reportedly committed suicide four weeks ago on February 10, according to two phone interviews with attorney John DeCamp last week.
Nelson was allegedly employed by a former Republican Party activist to take pictures of current or retired U.S. House-Senate members and other prominent government officials engaging in sexual criminality by receiving or committing sodomy and other sex acts on children during the Reagan-Bush 41 administrations.
Hunter Thompson’s death and the news blackout of Rusty Nelson’s simultaneous arrest raise questions that someone may be attempting to limit Nelson’s freedom or threaten him, since according to testimony, both men had allegedly witnessed homosexual prostitution and pedophile criminal acts in a suppressed but far-reaching child sex-ring probe closely linked to Senate and House members--but also former President George H. W. Bush. [In U.S. District Court testimony, Rusty Nelson told Judge Warren Urbom he took 20,000 to 30,000 pictures, 2-5-1999, p.52]

The latest developments in a high -level scandal that both major political parties want swept under the rug were discussed on the Jan. 10 broadcast of the SPOTLIGHT"s weekly call-in forum, Radio Free America. The guest was former Nebraska state Sen. John DeCamp. He has spearheaded an ongoing inquiry into the bizarre Franklin Credit
Union scandal involving several big names. The Franklin affair has tentacles spreading out in several inflammatory directions. What follows is an edited transcript of Valentine's interview with DeCamp.
Larry Flynt, the pornographer, exposed Rep. Bob Livingston's (R-La.) extra-marital affairs and is threatening to expose other high ranking Republicans. But what you're talking about here is far worse than "a little bit of adultery," so to speak. Isn't that correct?
Oh yes. Even sinners like me tolerate a little bit of adultery. This goes way beyond that.
This involves young people, even as young as eight-or nine-years-old, and teenagers, being used in a very improper manner. My book, in its revised edition, validates what was initially published in the earlier edition.
Two young people claimed that they were sexually abused and used as drug "mules" [carrying illicit drugs] and their story is central to the case you've become involved with.
These two youngsters are the ones I mention most prominently in my book, THE FRANKLIN COVER-UP*. Actually, there were a massive number of youngsters involved and Omaha, Nebraska, was merely the staging and organizing ground for the activity most of which went on in places like Washington D.C. and elsewhere.
Isn't Omaha where Boys Town is located?
That's right. And don't misunderstand me. Boys Town is one of American's great institutions and has done a tremendous amount of good, but like so many things, even a rotten apple can creep in there, and in this case it did, and young people from Boys Town were used as part of this corrupt program.
You were just leaving the Nebraska state senate when this scandal began to erupt.
For about a dozen of the 16 years I was a senator, I was the head of the banking and
insurance committees and had run across some of the principal players in this scandal. I knew some of them quite well. It was right after I left the legislature that George Bush got elected president. The very day that Bush, was elected president was the day that the authorities raided the Franklin Credit Union. That was the beginning of a whole series of events relating to this affair.
Central to all of this was the use of children as drug mules and for sexually compromising
politicians and other prominent and powerful people around the country.
As an attorney representing some of the victims in the case, you have seen photographs
and other evidence. You have recognized some pretty prominent faces in these photographs. Is it fair to say that there is a sexual blackmail gridlock in Washington today?
It's gridlock by sexual blackmail. That's what's going on between the Republicans and the Democrats right now. It's absolutely tragic.
So neither party has a monopoly on this?
That's right. In my book, I describe how I was at the Republican National Convention in Dallas and a lot of these young people, who were victims, were there at the same time. I didn't have any idea what was going on back then.
Who are the two victims that you represent?
Paul Bonacci is one and a little girl named Alicia Owen is another. Alicia stuck to her
guns and wouldn't back down, even though a lot of the other kids either disappeared or are
dead. She told her story. They had a big trial before I became her attorney. They convicted her of lying--perjury. And that's kind of interesting, isn't it.
She had been telling what I believe are accurate and detailed stories of how she participated in forced sexual activities with people, whether it was the former police chief of Omaha or politicians--you name it. She got a 15-year sentence for perjury and she's still in prison.
This girl never went out looking for somebody to tell her story to. Somebody got her name
and went to see her and offered her immunity. Alicia was told that if she didn't tell what
happened that she would really be in deep trouble. So she told it all and the next thing she knew, she was the one being charged.
There was a private investigator involved in this case who died mysteriously.
Gary Caridori was killed the night before he was supposed to testify. Officially it is "unknown" how he died. But he was flying back from Chicago in his private plane and the plane blew up and fell apart. He was a meticulous, careful pilot. He and his little boy were killed. Officially, it's still undetermined. But there are actually about 15 to 30 strange deaths linked to this case.
During this case, the children all described a photographer named Rusty Nelson.
That's right. According to the children, Nelson was always there at the big parties where
the politicians were. He was a private photographer who was always in the company of
the central figure in this scandal, Larry King. [King is in prison on financial charges for
looting the Franklin Credit Union, but he was never charged for the sex-and-drugs related
stories told by these children.]
Yet, despite all these claims by the children, the prosecutors and the political establishment claimed that Rusty Nelson didn't exist.
The official report said that Nelson didn't exist. In fact, the former Omaha police chief
(whom Miss Owen claimed that she had been sexually used by) said that the only Rusty
Nelson he knew of was a very respectable photographer in Omaha and that he didn't know
him. But Nelson had disappeared and no one could reach him, so they never pursued that.
However, after this affair dragged on for years, I got a call one day out of the blue from a
law enforcement officer in Oregon. He said that they had arrested this man and had seized
over 20,000 pictures and documents. One thing they noted was that he had a copy of my
book. Looking through the book they found things underlined about "Rusty Nelson." And that's how they called me and they wanted to find out more.
This man they had arrested was Rusty Nelson and he had been picked up on Oregon for pornography involving children. I asked if I could come out and see him and they said I could. I flew out to Oregon and he had a defense attorney who had, remarkably enough, come in off the street and agreed to represent him.
However, when that attorney found out that I was trying to see Nelson, a big commotion broke loose and they tried to keep me from getting to see him. However, Rusty Nelson wanted to see me and I got to talk to him privately. He told me everything and confirmed that the pictures that he had confirmed everything I had written in the book and a lot more.
The pictures had been seized and my goal was to get those pictures and his testimony.
Then began the most bizarre tale of difficulty ever. Rusty was willing to cooperate all the
way. He said he was tired of running. He had been told in Omaha to "get out of town."
Who told him to get out of town? It was the FBI. They told him he would be a lot safer if he just got out of town and disappeared, so that nobody would ever hear of him again.
The next thing I knew was that after I met with the prosecutor and the judge, the judge
ordered the pictures held and not destroyed so they could be used as evidence. Rusty
disappeared. Rusty was carted off to the nut house.
That took a full year and two months and the psychiatrist involved there, an honest, respectable person, believed Rust's story
and she finally got him out of there. Then, we finally had Rusty back in court and finally
we got him back out on the street. But when I tried to get hold of his pictures as evidence,
I started running into problems.
I had a hearing set up here in Nebraska on Dec. 9. Paul Bonacci had filed a civil suit against Larry King and we won this case. We were going to have this hearing for damages and we needed Rusty Nelson and his pictures. But a week before the hearing was scheduled, Rusty was arrested for driving with a tail light out. And the first thing they do is start talking about the Nebraska case and all the dead people there.
And Rusty disappeared for weeks. So I got the hearing postponed for Feb.5. Rusty is being held in solitary confinement and I'm working to get him out.
This is America, isn't it?
That's what I used to say. My best friend, my advisor, who made me write this book, Bill
Colby, the former director of the CIA and U.S. ambassador to Vietnam (and secretly the
head of the CIA over there at the time), was involved with me in trying to expose this and
to get it all out in the open. He told me, initially, "You should get out and stay out. This
will get you killed." But he did say, "If you do want to do something, then write the book and that will at least get the story out protects you." So that's why I wrote the book.
But Bill, of course, was found floating dead. I think the last years of his life were dedicated, based on what he had told me, to undoing some of the things that this government (and he, through the CIA) had participated in. He said to me, "Your country is gone when you have these secret organizations that are no longer accountable to the people or even to the Congress and they've become a government unto themselves."
What's going to happen with Rusty Nelson?
We're continuing to work on this but the problem is that there is so much secrecy involved. The other lawyers took videotaped depositions of Paul Bionic. It's interesting that those videotapes can't be shown. I wanted the depositions videotaped. They still objected and they won. Yet, two days into the depositions they decided they wanted to videotape Paul.
Paul's mind was really screwed up by everything he went through and he has multiple personalities.
That's right, and although I know that this sounds bizarre to a lot of people, Paul was part
of one of these CIA mind control operations that we have heard about--they like to use young children who are easily influenced--and it seems that the other side was interested in finking out how much Paul actually remembered. Paul said that he didn't have multiple personalities and that he was cured, but two days into the depositions he went into one of these other personalities. This stunned everybody. Now the videotapes are sealed.
The powers-that-be must be watching this case with great trepidation.
I've become a cynic. There are enough people with something at stake in this, and there are no rules as to how far they can go to stop this from going any further.
