I'm looking to add to AMSC and UNA. Baird's downgrade of UNA today is creating a buying opportunity. The SBL/UNA fight creates uncertainty, but UNA is holding the strongest hand by far, IMO. 14-Mar-05 06:52 ET In Play UNA and SBL cut to Neutral from Outperform at Baird : Baird downgrades UNA and SBL to Neutral from Outperform after SBL filed suit against Intermec, a business unit of UNA, for infringement on WLAN-based patents. Firm is now less optimistic that the recent disagreements between the cos will be settled in short order. Firm expects Intermec will face an adverse impact on laser scanning revenue, increased legal expenses, and potentially hurt RFID opportunities. Firm also expects SBL will loose a portion of its highly profitable scan engine revenue, incur increased legal expenses and potentially miss RFID opportunities.
