Pro-choice and pro-life are definitely politicized code words for pro-abortion and pro-stop all abortions.

I don't think either is technically code. They are just labels. They are a good example, though, on how conflicting labels resolve themselves. Each side got to choose its own label, which is fair. They both wanted to be pro something and they both got to be.

Re "pro-choice" meaning "pro-abortion," I don't agree with that. I am pro-choice and choice is exactly what I favor. Coming at things from a libertarian perspective, my default is to be pro-choice in all things whether I favor them or not. I fully support a woman's choice either way. "Pro-choice" means exactly what it says.
