Not bad, Jim. Really.

Though I would tweak it a little by adding the following:

a doctrine of the superiority of the tribe: I'm not so sure this is truly the root of how Jews project themselves in the world today. This type of thing is not taught in a way you might imagine. Yet something like this seems to come through more in a cultural way. The persecution complex can and does create a sense of entitlement. I've known Israelis who are about as far away from this as you could imagine. But there is no doubt that there are many who project this aggressive arrogance to the point a being seriously annoying, interpersonally and internationally. At the bottom of it is a very simple message---NEVER AGAIN! Right now I am thinking the root of this Israeli "attitude" is actually quite simple: "No one will ever again determine our fate except us." In saying that I can totally understand why the neocons align themselves so closely with Israel. It's because they feel the same way about the US.

As far as the "money and power" thing is concerned, bear in mind that since Medieval times in Europe, the only professions open to Jews had to do with commerce and finance. In that sense, you could say that, presented with lemons, they made one heck of a lemonade.
