I don't mind that people believe something if it produces better people and a better, more tolerant world. The problem is that when people run their lives from an external script, even if they do it well, that doesn't make what they believe true. TRUTH is somewhat subjective, but there are limits to its subjectivity.

I've heard people complain about living in parts of Utah where it is dominated by Mormons. You'd never catch any of the Mormons being mean or rude outright, but they will not provide you with the treatment they provide others of their kind. It is a closed system.

I try to provide everyone with the same interface interface(A). I have a small circle of friends and family that get special treatment (B) and another even smaller circle of people who are on my sh!t list (C). There is probably some psychological parameter that can be measured by the ratio of A:B:C. It would be fascinating to classify people into the ratios of these parameters. Perhaps everyone could wear a ring with the ratio on it. Sitting in a meeting , you could look across the table and say, "I see you are a 20:5:1!"

A 5:1:5 is probably just a mean old goat with whom you are wasting your time!
