"Tea kettles are made of metal, not pottery."

That you cannot even admit the smallest of mistakes speaks volumes about you and your enormous ego. Citing a definition of ceramic tells us nothing about the composition of tea kettles. I am a potter and I think I know the difference between a tea kettle, which I do not produce and a tea pot, which I do make. Ceramics are notoriously unsuitable for cooking with direct heat. The only exceptions are pots that are poorly made and are very open and porous and certain modern high tech formulas that are expensive and unreliable. Your first link is for a recall of just this kind of "flame ware"

OTOH a definition of a kettle reads;

"A metal pot, usually with a lid, for boiling or stewing."

Be a man and just admit you were wrong!
